Manager Accounting & Reporting wanted for a leading, global provider of material handling automation and software for distribution and fulfillment, parcel, e-commerce, manufacturing and other industries. Thier service takes care of all design, engineering and integration to deliver automated equipment, robotics, software and controls that work according to customer requirements near Utrecht.

As Manager Accounting and Reporting you're responsible for the delivery of financial statements and reporting of the operations in Europe Reporting to the CFO International.
You will lead the accounting function, including financial reporting, G/L accounting, internal controls/audit and accounting operations. Your responsibility is to manage a team of around 10 FTE in the Netherlands and work closely with accounting teams in Italy, Poland and China.

There are opportunities to improve the accounting controls and procedures to be at level of a US multi-national and US SOX environment.

This position:

• Change: improve the financial planning and control cycle to become more forward looking, add value and increase the level of internal control through the use of data and technology.
• Reporting: ensure monthly, quarterly and annual reports for all stakeholders are completed timely and accurately.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition, percentage of completion accounting.
• Provide leadership to strengthen the internal control environment and maintain SOX compliance.
• Responsible for monthly close process and the generation of timely, quality internal and external financial statements and reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. US GAAP knowledge is a pre.
• Prepare consolidation of multi-national division with various legal entities that use different functional currencies.
• Support indirect tax and corporate tax returns preparation in a timely manner.
• Lead external audit process. Comfortable providing specific guidance on accounting issues within the Finance department and communicating effectively to non‐accounting stakeholders, executive leadership, and private equity owners.
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures to include financial statement consolidation for multiple entities.
• Support quarterly financial statement preparation for reporting purposes to lenders.
• Roll out standardized closing processes, accounting policies, and other key accounting infrastructure.
• Works with internal and external stakeholder to ensure compliance to GAAP and SOX requirements

Qualifications:

• Relevant educational background at university level.
• Previous responsibility for setting or managing company wide accounting policies.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment with experience with standards and variance analyses.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to convince, inspire and motivate others based on solid and well thought through plans.
• Fluent in English, good reading of Dutch.
• Successful in driving a growth and change agenda in a multinational environment.
• Experience building, leading, mentoring and effectively managing high‐performing teams.
• Experienced financial leader with extensive accounting and operations experience in a multi site business.

The salary is based on knowledge and experience and varies between the € 6000,- and € 6750 gross a month based on fulltime employment of 40 hours a week. We would like to tell you more in a personal conversation.
